Owners Sandra & Danny Jimminson were trained at the Savoy Hotel in London and after gaining further experience working in Switzerland, France and other high profile London restaurants, decided to settle close to where Danny grew up on the border of Nottinghamshire & Leicestershire.
Now celebrating our 10th anniversary at the Hammer & Pincers, we have just completed an extensive refurbishment program, with new decor, new furniture & a change in direction with our menu.
Food has always played the biggest part of our success over the past ten years, so we have invested heavily in new kitchen equipment & crockery, we will be writing the menu daily, but we will also concentrate on including the dishes our guests have asked for, which have featured on the menus over the past decade
We pride ourselves in sourcing some of the finest local ingredients. Everything is made in house from Ice creams and sorbets to the butter we serve with our daily baked bread selection.
