Meet the foragers

We have an arrangement in our restaurant with the local gardeners, they bring me anything they grow, that they can’t use themselves, and in return they get a nice Christmas box full of goodies.

We have had all sorts of wonderful produce from the usual apples & pears, to the more unusual Quince and Medlars, we even go around and pick them ourselves, or should i say i enlist two very willing helpers in the form of my two sons, Alfie (on the right) and Oscar (on the left) so when we say we use Local Leicestershire produce in the restaurant, we mean quite literally on our doorstep.
